The Ohio Masonic Communities
At The Ohio Masonic Communities, we live our Masonic Values by serving as a trusted partner to help our communities thrive.
The Ohio Masonic Communities is committed to people and dedicated to communities. Whether through embracing innovation, proactively addressing needs, or bringing dreams to life, our goal is to empower residents, staff, and community members to live their best lives and thrive.
Three senior living communities – Browning Masonic Community in Waterville, Ohio, Springfield Masonic Community in Springfield, Ohio, and Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina, Ohio – each offer premier living options with exceptional experiences so residents can live their best lives. The Ohio Masonic Communities Resource Center exists as a link between resources and services and the people who need them, whether in their own home or on one of our campuses. Thanks to the generosity of donors, The Ohio Masonic Communities Foundation invests in the innovative upgrades to our campuses and services that allow residents to thrive.

Grand Almoner's Fund
Fulfilling Our Masonic Obligation
The Grand Almoner's Fund is central to the Scottish Rite’s commitment to care for our Brothers, providing assistance to Masons and their families facing unexpected hardships. The program focuses on our Masonic fraternity and assists:
-
All Freemasons, particularly Scottish Rite Masons within the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction;
-
Masonic families when a significant, unexpected burden is placed on them;
-
Immediate family members of a deceased Masonic Brother.
At the heart of our mission lies the belief that we, as a Fraternity, have an obligation to care for our members. The Grand Almoner's Fund is our keystone charity, providing direct and immediate assistance to members of our Masonic community in times of crisis.

Centennial Cornerstone Campaign
The Centennial Cornerstone Campaign is a landmark three-year capital initiative launched by the Dayton Masonic Center to raise $20 million. Marking 100 years since the laying of the building's cornerstone, this fundraising effort secures the future of the historic facility. It builds a lasting financial endowment to fund continuous property maintenance and preserve its role as a regional civic and cultural hub.

Dayton Children's Dyslexia Center
The Dyslexia Center provides scientifically based, expert instruction to bright but struggling minds in grades Kindergarten through 12. Thanks to generous support of many Masons, parents, local businesses and charities, our program continues to provide children all over the greater Miami Valley area with the literacy skills they need to excel in life as well as building the next generation of specialized dyslexia practitioners through our nationally accredited tutor training program.

Scholorships
Investing in the future through education is a cornerstone of Freemasonry in Ohio. In 2026, various Masonic organizations across the state continue their long-standing tradition of providing financial assistance to deserving students, ranging from graduating high school seniors to those pursuing advanced graduate degrees.
Whether you are a member of a Masonic youth group, a relative of a Mason, or a dedicated student from the local community, there are numerous opportunities available through different branches of the fraternity.
